Letter B

B is the second letter of the alphabet as "Beta" - in Greek, "B" - in English. In Hebraic it is "Beth" which means the mouth, the door of the church and science. In Cyrillic it is "Buki". Its numerical value is 2. It is an element of the created world. It is a plurality of the outset.  It is a letter of Phoenician origin. In Arabic B is Ba, while Alif Ba (so it would be AB) is a word that in Egyptian mythology represented the spirit, the embodiment of strength and power, which continued to exist after death. In alchemy B expresses the relationship between the four main elements. It contains an element of composition of all things. It is an origin of difference and diversity.

In the Slavic tradition Beregynya is a female figure who lives on the bank of the river, protects people from evil spirits, foresees the future and takes care of the kids who are alone near the river. Therefore Beregynya is considered the Mother Goddess of the earth and fertility, and all living things. The Mother Goddess gives birth to the souls who come to incarnate on Earth, and takes life, when it's time. Therefore, Beregynya can also be called as the soul of Life and Death.
